Journal of Elite Sport Performance is an online journal which publishes peer-reviewed research.

This Privacy Policy serves as notification to individuals of the matters required to be notified on collection of their personal information.

(b) information required for you to submit an article or subscription membership account with us or to subscribe to our website.  This may include bank details or any other relevant information when paying for article processing charges.

Our services are directed at business professionals. They are not intended for children under the age of sixteen. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users in this age group and reserve the right to delete such information if we become aware of having collected it.

Your name and affiliation will be published as part of authored work. In addition, we sometimes take photos and videos at events associated with your published work. Where photos and videos are taken at our events that feature you as an author, we may use those photos and videos for promotional purposes.

2.3 Online membership communities and blog areas:

You may choose to participate in online membership communities on our sites that allow you to create and publish a profile and other personal information. These communities may provide privacy controls that allow choice in how much of your profile and other information to make public or to share with others within the community.

Privacy controls are usually found on the page on which you edit your profile, and everyone is responsible for understanding how those controls work, including default settings, and choosing how the information provided is shared and protected. Where you engage with us as an enquiry chat, we will use any information provided to help support with the submission or enquiry of a research article or publication.

Any personal information provided on the Contact Us page will be used only to provide a response or to service the request or enquiry made. The information provided will not be added to the marketing or customer prospect databases of Informa’s operating divisions. 

2.5 Marketing campaigns:

We collect email addresses from individuals whom subscribe or submit an article for publication to us and request permission for those individuals to be contacted with marketing in the future

3.1 Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

3.2 All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

 

 

4. How do we communicate with our site visitors?
4.1 We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. Our editors and members of our advisory board adhere to confidentiality obligations that are consistent with this Privacy Policy.
